Charities

At Rift House we like to raise money to support various charities.  Here are some charities we support.

                              September

The money raised on Jeans for Genes Day funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children affected by genetic disorders.

Keep Smiling For Becky

This charity is close to Rift House hearts as Becky Bell was a well loved pupil at our school.  Smile for Becky is a charity, set up by her parents, to help those families with terminally ill children.

They offer grants to help make special memories or financial help to families in the North East of England, UK,

For children aged between 4 and 16 years with a terminal diagnosis and receiving palliative care.  Click for link.

The Royal British Legion provides help and welfare to the serving and ex-Service community and their families, is one of the UK's largest membership organisations, is the nation's custodian of Remembrance and runs the annual Poppy Appeal.

                              September

One in three of us will face cancer, and the money you raise at your Coffee Morning will help us make sure no one has to face it alone.

As part of our Christmas celebrations we held a Christmas Fair.  Part of the money raised went towards food which was donated to Hartlepool Food Bank in Church Street.

Families can go along along, with a foodbank voucher and receive three days supply of emergency food.  Any family wanting any more information or vouchers please speak to Miss Caldwell.

We provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. We are local to people in all corners of the UK and support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.
