Hi Miss Baxter

I just wanted to pass on comments received from the poet/author John Hegley regarding Saturday’s event. John was particularly impressed with the enthusiasm and interaction of the children from your school and the commitment of the teacher bringing them along.

‘Thank you again for two exceptional events. I find the people of Hartlepool commit to the shows and workshops with an extraordinary tenacity. This was particularly evident at the Wynyard Road hub where the mixture of a school group and out of school children with their parents and carers made a marvellous mix. I must say I was uncertain how this would work when I began the afternoon's workshop but that uncertainty dissolved within moments as the children dived into their drawings and word sculptures with obvious delight. To me this is the essence of what being on the road is about. The chance to not only demonstrate my own creativity but to see that of others at play. And yes, what a memorable contribution from the youngster in question time "how many books do you write in a day?". ‘

Hello Mr Turner ,

I’d just like to feedback on your pupils who came to visit here last week .

I had the pleasure of having Ms Yalman’s class on Thursday and they were a delight . They were keen , engaging, had some super questions and were very excited to be in the woods with a campfire! Their manners and attitude were lovely and a credit to your school. What helped a lot was the staff were fully involved , chatty and very helpful . My colleagues looked after Reception class on a rainy Friday and I hear they were super too , enjoying a revised activity plan due to the rain!

Thanks again for supporting what we do here at WWT and pass on my very best wishes to the classes and staff involved .

Dear David and Staff,

Can I take this opportunity to thank you and your team for the donation and great support given to Mary and myself over the past year. Our young children have shone in this town. They are a real inspiration to us all and we are so proud of their achievements.

The community of Hartlepool, including our schools, was our priority this year including: sports development, art& craft, respect, ability to learn the great history of our town, regardless of physical ability or class.

I gave you and your team praise on my closing address, which was richly deserved.

I would like to thank you very much for giving my son Jack "the time of his life" at his residential visit to Keswick. He enjoyed all the adventure and experiences from start to finish. His favourite activity was the gorge walk. He has arrived back a different boy: so independent and happy. Totally class! (Jack's words)
