From a child's very first day in reception, all the way through to year 6, we support children to make the right 'CHOICES' to enable them to grow into well-rounded, motivated individuals.
In Class 7, we have a positive learning attitude and work hard to achieve our personal goals and targets. We all try to make the right 'CHOICES' and give 100% in everything we do. Staff work hard to build positive relationships between home and school to ensure that your child feels comfortable and supported.

Our classroom is set up to allow all children to have the space they need to learn to the best of their ability. |
Class 7 are lucky enough to have computers set up in the classroom. Children enjoy using these to type up their amazing English work and to play educational games. |
We have lots of displays to help us with our learning. The children especially like the handwriting display as it reminds us how to form our letters correctly. |
We have a lovely, calming reading area that children enjoy using for reading, quiet time and meditation. |
Timetable
At Rift House we aim for your child to participate in a broad curriculum. Our timetable shows various opportunities that your child will access daily, including opportunities for mindfulness, Primary Movement and energizers.
World Book Day
We had a lovely day dressing up and reading our favourite books.
Pilates
We tried out some Pilates in PE, some of the positions were very tricky.
Comic Relief
We joined in an activity run and a Red Nose treasure hunt.
Educational visit to Hartlepool College of Further Education
Children enjoyed looking around the college, meeting former students and talking about their career paths. They visited a replica fuselage where they were able to experience and ask questions about how flights work.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Class 7 had a fantastic time celebrating. We especially enjoyed performing on stage.
Summerhill July 2022
Class 7 had so much fun at Summerhill as a reward for all their hard work this year.
Mindfulness
Class 7 take part in mindfulness and primary movement every day to support our well being and mental health.
Supporting Education
PE - Children will join their year group for PE each week
Year 3- Monday and Thursday afternoon
Year 4- Friday afternoon
Year 5- Wednesday afternoon
Year 6- Friday afternoon
Class 7- Swimming- Friday morning
We ask that all children have a full pe kit in school for these days.
Homework
Children will take home a reading book daily and we ask that they read a couple of pages every night.
Homework and spelling will be sent home on a Monday and will be due back in by Friday.
